    A Traditional Music Recital With Jack Talty (Concertina) and Michelle Mulcahy (Harp and Fiddle) will take place in Clane GAA (Upstairs Lounge) at 8.30 p.m. Admission €10 This Traditional Music Recital with well known traditional musicians Jack Talty (concertina) and Michelle Mulcahy (Harp and Fiddle) is one of the various musical and cultural events taking place Clane as part of Fleadh Cheoil Chill Dara 2011. Fleadh Cheoil Chill Dara take place from Tuesday 17th May to Sunday 22nd May 2011. Fleadh Cheoil Chill Dara is hosted by Craobh Claonadh Comaltas Ceoltóri Éireann.

    Armagh County Fleadh takes place in Keady on Friday, 10th June - Sunday, 12th June. Friday, 10th June 7.00pm: A band parade followed by a Gig Rig, and then a céilí in the local hall. Saturday, 11th June Competitions will be held on the saturday. All weekend there will be street entertainment and pub sessions. All Welcome

    Féile Patrick Byrne 2011

    The Féile Patrick Byrne is being held to honour the 19th century Monaghan harper Patrick Byrne, “the last of the great Irish harpers” and the first Irish traditional musician ever photographed. The festival will take place in and around Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. There will be workshops, sessions, the annual Patrick Byrne lecture as well as concerts featuring Seána Davey on harp and exciting new group Goitse. Programme Thursday 14th April Time Event Venue 8:00pm Official launch and annual Patrick Byrne lecture. Prof. Patrick Duffy, NUI Maynooth will speak on ‘Social life, music and dancing in Monaghan during the 1930’s and 1940’s’. Adm free. The Shirley Arms Hotel, Carrickmacross.
